Time may have passed but he can not be forgotten nor forgiven.
“We’re in a position to where whatever we do is not going to be good for anybody, you know, it's just what it is." - Sheriff Tom Spangler
While Fritts was employed by Knox County Sheriff's office as an officer, he delivered sermons to his congregation regarding how he thought LBGTQ+ people should be put to death by the government. He was never reprimanded by KCSO due to Spangler being too scared of lawsuits, even after multiple legal advisors telling him otherwise. Because he was not fired, Fritts will still be receiving his pension of around $1300/month once he turns 50. Due to obvious and dangerous biases, Fritts' previous inactive cases should have all been (& still should be) investigated - along with the active cases he was involved with at the time.
