Hands-on learning in action!!!

We stopped in to see our automotive students this week and we’re impressed by the hard work, teamwork, and acknowledge they are building every day.

Our students did an amazing job explaining the project that they were working on and demonstrating how they are applying what they’ve learned to real world hands-on environment. It’s exciting to see their confidence, collaboration, and technical skills continue to grow.

Keep up the great work automotive team. Proud of you.

Good morning, KCSC Families,

Due to the excessive heat, we will again have indoor recess today, Friday, September 4, 2026.

For students who have outdoor after-school activities, your sponsor will communicate directly with you regarding any changes.

KCSC is also excited to kick off our first KCSC Ambassador Program! This program is designed to provide participants with a unique, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to lead and operate a school district serving nearly 1,600 students and 240 employees.

Throughout the program, KCSC Ambassadors will have opportunities to learn more about the decision-making, challenges, successes, and day-to-day operations involved in running a school corporation. We are excited to share more about KCSC and give our community a closer look at all that happens behind the scenes.

Throughout the program, KCSC Ambassadors will have opportunities to learn more about the decision-making, challenges, successes, and day-to-day operations that go into running a school corporation. This program is open to the KCSC family.

Dear KCSC Families,

I hope this email finds you staying cool and safe during this period of excessive heat. If there is anything KCSC can do to assist your family during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out.

KCSC will continue to monitor the excessive heat and make decisions with the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Today, September 3rd, 2026, recess will again be held indoors. Many afterschool outdoor activities have also been moved indoors. Your extracurricular sponsor will notify you directly of any changes to scheduled activities.

We will also be providing our remaining supply of water to students riding the buses today. We are hoping to provide approximately two cases of water per bus to help keep our students hydrated on their way home.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding, and partnership as we work together to keep our students and staff safe. If KCSC can be of any assistance, please let us know.

A big thank you to the KCSC team for providing water to all of our bus riders today as we navigate the excessive heat. Our students were incredibly grateful, with many taking the time to say “thank you” to our staff.

A special thank you goes to our amazing transportation team for working through the heat and continuing to safely get our students home.

We appreciate everyone’s dedication and commitment to our students.

Good morning KCSC Families,

We ask that everyone use extra caution with outdoor activities today, as the heat index is expected to reach 104 degrees. The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community is our top priority.

KCSC will be providing water bottles for students to take home on the buses today to help keep them cool during transportation. A special thank you to our bus drivers for their continued commitment to safely getting our students home each day.

Today, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, there will be no outdoor activities at KCSC. This includes recess at both the elementary and middle schools.

Many outdoor extracurricular activities have been rescheduled to be inside. Please check with your child's extracurricular sponsor for updated schedules and information.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe during today's extreme heat.
