The K**b Noster Police Department is led by the Chief of Police, Brandon Bines who took office in July 2022. Under the command of Chief Bines is 1 Administrative / Patrol Lieutenant, 1 Patrol Sergeant, 1 Detective, and up to 7 full-time/part-time patrol officers along with an administrative assistant. K**b Noster is located in Johnson County, MO, and is home to Whiteman Airforce Base and K**b Nost

er State Park. The K**b Noster Police Department works closely with our Law Enforcement counterparts around the county as well as Whiteman AFB’s Security Forces and Office of Special Investigations (OSI). Our Police Officers are continuously trained with the highest level of training so that our officers can deal with any situation that may arise. K**b Noster Police Officers are trained in the following skills to include hostage negotiations, computer voice stress analysis, Rural Missouri Major Case Squad, Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), County Wide - Crime Resolution Team (CRT), fi****ms training, school active shooter training, drug interdiction training, crime scene investigations and much more. Officers take pride in solving criminal cases which are typically worked from start to finish. Officers experience more investigative techniques on a day-to-day basis due to working on a variety of cases. The K**b Noster Police Department is a newer facility built in 2019 and has state-of-the-art technology including Mobile Data Terminals, a recorded interview room, a holding cell, and more.

Please be advised that temporary road closures are expected on May 28th for the parade. We ask all drivers to please slow down and remain cautious, especially around walking pedestrians during the event.

The parade will begin at 7:00 PM and is expected to last approximately one hour. Please plan your travel accordingly and expect additional road closures and foot traffic during this time.

Parade Route:
The parade will start by the high school on South Washington Avenue, continue onto McPherson Street, head down South Lincoln, then continue onto Wimer Street before looping back to South Washington Avenue.

Recognize This Sweet Face?

This girl was found near the intersection of State Street and Highway 50 in K**b Noster. She was found with no collar and no microchip.

At this time, a kind citizen has stepped forward to provide temporary housing and care until an owner can be located.

If you believe this is your dog, please contact the K**b Noster Police Department at (660) 563-2233 and be prepared to provide proof of ownership.

The officers would like to formally report that the snacks provided by West Central Electric Cooperative during Police Week were safely taken into custody and thoroughly investigated… and unfortunately, none survived. 🍪🚔

In all seriousness, thank you so much for the thoughtful goodie basket and continued support of our department. Gestures like this truly mean a lot to our officers and staff, and we are grateful to serve such a caring community. 💙

Allowing everyone the opportunity to be prepared of upcoming storm events in our direction this evening and possibly tonight. All threats remain possible. Please stay weather aware and have more than one source of information and warning status in the event Mother Nature throws us a curveball.
As always, K**b Noster PD shelter (201 N. State st) will open in the event of a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning. Stay safe everyone.
