Rodriguez will fill the new DC position, and he returns years of service as a roster member and roster leader. Right guys in place to put East Wake back in prominence among the 7-A realm.

UNC-Greensboro Spartan Field hosts the maximum number of 8-A prize matches. Pirates follow 2-1 defeat with 8-0 victory behind Eli McKenzie shutting out a Providence squad on a 58-straight-game scoring streak. Her 12 strikeouts also silenced the top homer run hitting machine --- EVER --- in the state. Fifth-eight dingers this season. The last would prove fatal to Corinth Holders chances almost 6 innings complete in the final dandy. Pirates emerged winners with a bright future.
