Fireworks Sales Open Tuesday, June 23, 2026
Be Prepared - Be Responsible - Be Safe - Be Aware

Klamath County Fire District 1, in cooperation with the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office (OSFM), encourages residents and visitors to celebrate America’s Independence Day safely and responsibly as our nation commemorates the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Fireworks that fly into the air, explode, or behave in an uncontrolled or unpredictable manner are prohibited in Oregon unless specifically authorized by a permit issued through OSFM.

Current weather conditions and dry vegetation can allow fires caused by the careless use of fireworks to spread rapidly and threaten homes, businesses, and natural resources.

For answers to frequently asked questions regarding fireworks, please visit the OSFM website and follow KCFD1 on Facebook or Instagram over the coming days for additional safety information and updates.

To report the illegal use of fireworks, please contact your local law enforcement agency. Only call 9-1-1 for emergencies involving an active fire, injury, or immediate threat to life or property.

• Within the City of Klamath Falls, contact the Klamath Falls Police Department.
• Outside city limits, contact the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, KCFD1 encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday responsibly and help protect our communities from preventable fires.

For additional fireworks and fire safety information, please visit Klamath County Fire District 1 or the Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office.

KCFD1 wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day celebration.
