Many are asking about the change in hours for the Wiard Splash Pad this summer. According to the park district, the splash pad does not get as much use on Tuesdays and Wednesdays but requires as much chemicals to operate as on days with greater usage. By not operating the system on those days, it allows them to conserve resources while efficiently serving the most patrons.
