From world records to classic Maine icons, our sailors had a full day of sightseeing on Friday’s MWR road trip!

Eartha in Yarmouth—the world’s largest indoor rotating globe! Standing beside the giant map, our crew shared stories of where they call home across the nation and all the destinations they hope to visit as we travel around the sun.

Freeport! Because you can’t pass through town without seeing the iconic L.L. Bean boot. We stopped in to see the Bootmobiles for the ultimate Maine photo op.

Ready for day one of school and playground fun!

A massive THANK YOU to our military community for making Operation School Strong an incredible success!

Sponsored by the NSA Maine Chief’s Mess, this initiative brought together 33 families and 31 children to ensure our military youth are fully equipped with backpacks and essential school supplies for the upcoming academic year.

The Chief’s Mess also rolled up their sleeves to revitalize the Child Development Center (CDC) playground! Thanks to their hard work power-washing equipment, clearing vines, and weeding, our CDC youth now have a refreshed, safe, and clean space to play and thrive. 🛝🌿

A huge shout-out to our community partners—Base Housing, MWR, FFSC, and CYP—for collaborating to support our families. This event proved once again that when our community unites, we take care of our own!

Here’s to a strong, successful school year ahead! 📚✏️

"We really needed this."
Sometimes the best mission is simply hitting pause and heading outdoors.

Our latest Friday MWR hike took sailors off the beaten path to explore local hidden gems, including a scenic park tucked away in Falmouth. For many, it was their first real chance to get out and experience the beauty of the Maine coast.

One of the highlight moments? Taking a break along the trail to head down to the shoreline, touch the water, and skip rocks together. Whether reaching the trail summits or taking a well-deserved rest in the fresh air, everyone found what they needed.

Providing opportunities to unwind, recharge, and build camaraderie is what MWR is all about. ⚓💙
