The Hall Memorial Bench is refinished and installed and looking beautiful thanks to our own Dep. Harbormaster Brian Pattullo. Thank you sir for the hard work and attention to detail.
Because of all the hard work both Brian and Alex put into making the benches look amazing, sadly I’m going to have to forbid the use of the benches from this point forward. You may look at them, make compliments about how beautiful they look but there shall be no buttocks’s being placed on them at any time. You can hover over them no closer than 6 inches but no direct contact with them. Violations of this order are punishable by the ways of the old sailors such as walking the plank or keel hauling and we will all stand by and watch saying pirate stuff such as AAARRRRRR and other cool pirate phrases.
Obviously a joke… enjoy them and if you see Brian and Alex… tell em thanks!

SH..SH..SH….SHH…SHHHAAAARK!(from Jaws) but don’t worry, our latest visitor to Pepperrell Cove is really big eater of really really really small things (Plankton). Just like our visiting humpback whale 2 years ago, it took a little tour inside of fishing island and around the mooring field , disappeared for a few minutes (I suspect it had an ice cream from Provisions Store & Coffee Shop at Pepperrell Cove or maybe a cocktail on the shells at Pepperrell Cove before heading out to continue eating its veggies. It could be in the area so please keep a sharp eye out for it while your doing your boating thing. They usually cruise the surface while transiting as well as while they are eating.
Im no scientist but with all the unusual marine life we have been seeing in our waters lately, I feel like we must be doing something right with keeping our waters healthy!

Put your hands together for Alex Dearborn of Kittery Point for volunteering and taking the time to refinish the Frisbee Memorial Bench. It looks great Alex, we totally appreciate that!
The Hall bench is currently being refinished by our own Deputy Harbormaster Brian Pattullo. It will be put back together soon!

Hello all, we know this is very unsettling but believe that there is noting for you guys to worry about as far as your safety is concerned. The Harbormaster and Kittery Police Department will share any information we get as soon as we can. Its is being thoroughly investigated so that any information we pass on will be correct! 📰 Maine State Police and NCIS Investigate Human Remains Found at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard 📰

Kittery, ME — At approximately 9:50 AM on Wednesday, 05/20/2026, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard civilian divers conducting routine barge inspections in the area of Berth 14 (Dry Dock 3 facing Kittery Foreside) discovered human remains in the water.

Maine State Police and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) are currently investigating. The remains will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification and to determine the cause and manner of death.

There is no danger to the public.
