And what a year it's been! Thank you to Senator Mark W. Lawrence, Kristiforkittery, Re-Elect Michele Meyer for Maine House, Governor Janet Mills, and Town Manager, Kendra Amaral for their warm wishes as we wrap up Kittery's 375th Celebration. πŸŽ‰

This year was as memorable and special as it was because of how many of you showed up to support the community. From tasting treats to participating in the arts, exploring local history to meeting new friends and neighbors...you helped Kittery shine brighter than ever. 🌟

Thank you for joining, supporting, sponsoring, volunteering and honoring this milestone celebration with us. Now, who's excited for the 400th?! 😍

Around this time last year, we were preparing for the first Taste of . We had no idea we'd be hosting the event again in 2022, but it was just too much fun the first time around that we had to bring it back. 🀩

Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, supported, volunteered and joined us a week or so ago at the 2nd Annual Taste of Kittery. Kittery has some of the most delicious restaurants and breweries around and this community never misses an opportunity to celebrate and appreciate all they have to offer. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

It's amazing to think about what Kittery might look like (and taste like) in another 375 years. One thing we do know is that this community will always be ready to celebrate Maine's oldest Town. πŸŽ‰

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, support and participate in the 375th Birthday Bash last weekend at the Kittery Community Center and STAR Theatre! 😁

Whether you bounced around, participated in the dessert walk, decorated a bicycle, threw some baseballs or footballs, got your face painted or your fortune told, enjoyed a snack, played games with friends, shared a laugh with your neighbors or got to check out the inside of a fire truck, we hope you had as much fun as we did.

Happy birthday, . 375 sure looks good on you! πŸŽ‚

In the latest installment of D. Allan Kerr's historical articles for Kittery's 375th, we're learning more about 's Rock Rest and the legacy of Hazel and Clayton Sinclair. πŸš—

Want to know something really cool? In Kittery's Maine Ingredients, the newly published Kittery 375 Celebration Cookbook, there's an entire section dedicated to Rock Rest. So, if you're looking to get your hands on some of Hazel's famous carrot "copper pennies" fudge, why not make some?! πŸ˜‹

In the mid-20th century, the residence of Hazel and Clayton Sinclair was known to a number of African-American motorists as Rock Rest – a rare place of comfort where they could feel welcomed while traveling through Maine.
