Toho Water Authority

Toho Water Authority Providing reliable, cost effective and responsive water services to our customers. Potable water is distributed through 2,877 miles of pipe ranging from 2"-30".

Toho Water Authority was established in 2003 by a special act of the Florida legislature and provides a full range of water, wastewater and reclaimed water services to its customers. Toho currently serves approximately 470,000 residential and commercial customers in Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Poinciana and unincorporated areas of Osceola, Orange and Polk counties. Toho operates 15 water treatment plant

s which treat raw water and make it safe for drinking. In addition, Toho operates 4 booster stations which move and pressurize already treated water. Toho’s water facilities currently rely exclusively on groundwater derived from the upper Floridan aquifer. Raw water supply wells currently pump an average of 52 million gallons per day (MGD) to the water treatment plants located throughout the service area. Toho’s wastewater facilities include nine water reclamation facilities (WRF), sewage collection facilities, and wastewater effluent disposal facilities. The water reclamation facilities operate independently for set geographic areas throughout the service area. Wastewater is delivered to the various WRFs through a network of 2,602 miles of collection and transmission system piping with 637 lift stations. The highly treated reclaimed water produced by the WRFs is distributed through 1,233 miles of reclaimed water distribution mains and used for irrigation customers or routed to the system’s rapid infiltration basins (RIBs) to recharge the groundwater. The waste solids from the treatment process, termed bio-solids, are processed by a third party to produce a soil supplement/fertilizer that is beneficially used on agricultural lands.

Toho Water Authority (Toho) will be conducting flushing activities starting on May 28 in the area of Funie Steed Road and Lindfields Blvd in Kissimmee (see map below). This is to enhance water appearance, odor, taste and quality.

The flushing activities will take place Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedules could vary due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

System flushing involves releasing water from either fire hydrants or automatic flushing devices on the distribution system. This process helps enhance water quality. Instances of lower-than-normal water pressure may occur.

Will I notice a change in my water during the flushing activities?

During the flushing activities, you may experience water discoloration, odor and sediment. These occurrences can usually be resolved by running a cold and a hot water tap for 15 to 20 minutes to clear out the water lines within the home. If the problem persists, please contact our Customer Service at 407-944-5000. To avoid possible staining of clothes during washing, it is advised to wash clothes in the evening or on weekends.

Can I consume the water?

Yes, the water meets all state and federal regulations. You can review our annual water quality reports on tohowater.com.

For more information, visit our News & Alerts page on tohowater.com. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service at 407-944-5000 or email [email protected].

It's the season for fresh sod and blooming gardens. As temperatures rise, it's natural to water more - but did you know that overwatering can actually do more harm than underwatering?

Too much water can stress your lawn and plants, promote disease and waste a valuable resource. Plus, increased watering can lead to higher water consumption and a bigger water bill.

Make every drop count! To learn about watering days and times and find out how you may qualify for Toho's Smart Irrigation Rebate, visit https://ow.ly/kaT950Z4fjP

5.23.26 @ 11:00 a.m. - The advisory has been lifted. Customers are no longer advised to boil their water prior to consumption. Water filters do not need to be cleaned or replaced.

# # #

5.21.26 @ 2:00 p.m. - Service has been restored. The precautionary boil water advisory is now in effect.

# # #

Once service is restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect for customers located in the Monterey Road area in Kissimmee (see map below). Customers located on the streets below are within the advisory area.

💧 Altera Court
💧 Anzio Drive
💧 Alicante Court
💧 Appian Way
💧 Monterey Road

This is due to a water line break caused by a contractor working in the area. Service is expected to be restored by 3 p.m. Schedules may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. The precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect until lifted by Toho.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution when approaching this area, as workers and construction equipment will be present. Speed limits may be reduced, sidewalks possibly closed, and foot traffic diverted. Signage will be in place to keep the traveling public informed of the project.

As a precautionary measure, customers are advised to boil their water for one minute prior to consumption (drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes). As an alternative bottled water may be used. Water used for laundry or bathing/showering does not need to be boiled.

Once service is restored, a two-day minimum of regulatory testing is required to make sure the water meets drinking water standards. An update will be provided by Saturday, May 23.

For more information, contact Toho’s customer service at 407-944-5000 or visit our News and Alerts sections tohowater.com.

💧 Altera Court
💧 Anzio Drive
💧 Alicante Court
💧 Appian Way
💧 Monterey Road
