Today, we pause to reflect on the service and sacrifices of all those who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. Each veteran has stood tall and given so much to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their bravery, commitment, and resilience serve as an inspiration to us all.

To all veterans, thank you for answering the call to serve. Your courage and dedication protect our nation and uphold the values we cherish. We are forever indebted to you, and today we stand united in gratitude for your unwavering sacrifice.

PVT Bones made the daily mail run and returned with a special surprise for the Kissimmee Recruiting Station—a commendatory letter from The letter recognized the team’s exceptional dedication and hard work in FY24, where they exceeded all expectations by achieving 150% in Regular Army (RA) goals and an outstanding 200% in U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) goals, reaching a combined mission accomplishment of 153%. As Hurricane Milton approaches our region, we want to remind everyone to stay safe and prepared. The safety and well-being of our community is our top priority.

Here are a few essential safety tips to keep in mind:

1. Stay Informed: Monitor local news and weather updates for the latest information on the storm’s path and intensity.
2. Emergency Supplies: Ensure you have enough food, water, medications, and other essentials for at least 72 hours.
3. Secure Your Home: Take necessary precautions to protect your property and secure any outdoor items that may become projectiles in high winds.
4. Plan for Evacuations: Know your evacuation routes and have a plan in place in case you need to leave your home.
5. Help Others: Check on your neighbors, especially those who may need assistance, such as the elderly or those with disabilities.
