Kirkwood City Council meets tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 139 South Kirkwood Road. The meeting will also stream live at kirkwoodmo.org/livestream.
Public safety
Council will take final votes on Bill 11128, appropriating funds to purchase a Drug Terminator machine for the Kirkwood Police Department, and Bill 11129, a clerical correction to a 15 mph speed limit designation. Three new public safety ordinances are up for first reading: Bill 11130 prohibiting interference with a first responder, Bill 11131 restricting vision-reducing window tint, and Bill 11132 establishing a new offense for unlawfully gaining entry into a motor vehicle.
City services and contracts
Resolutions before Council include vector control services with St. Louis County Health Department (Resolution 56-2026), the East Jefferson Avenue parking lot project (Resolution 58-2026), yard waste disposal (Resolution 59-2026), and on-call water system services (Resolution 60-2026).
Planning and operations
Resolution 57-2026 would adopt the 2026 Kirkwood Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The consent agenda includes Audit Committee appointments, IT security software renewal, and Recreation Department fee schedule amendments.
Public comment
Public comment is held early in the meeting with a 3-minute limit per person. Council does not respond to comments during this portion of the meeting.
Council will also meet in closed session at 5:00 p.m. to discuss legal, real estate, and contract negotiation matters, as permitted under RSMo 610.021(1), (2), and (12). The 7:00 p.m. formal meeting is open to the public and will stream live at kirkwoodmo.org/livestream.
