Starting today, meals are available for pick up every Friday from Our Table! 🤩 Swing by the front desk at Kirksville Housing Authority between 2:00 and 4:00, and let their receptionist, Brenda, know you'd like a meal to-go. That's all there is to it! These meals are available due to a large "meal prep" earlier in the week, and include Tuesday's menu. This week, that means more cozy meatloaf. 😋

You're invited to our 20th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner! 🦃🍽️

Join us on November 20th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Hamilton Street Baptist Church to enjoy food, share stories, and enjoy this wonderful gathering of friends and family in the community!

This event will be dine-in only and doors will not open until 10:45 AM. We look forward to seeing everyone next week for this special event! 🧡

Though the Kirksville Housing Authority will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day, Our Table will still be here to serve the community from 4:00 to 6:00. Join us tomorrow for our weekly service meal, where everyone has a seat. ❤️🤍💙

If you are in need of an inexpensive dinner this week, Kirksville Hy-Vee is serving warm meals free to children 12 and under, and just $3 for all others.

The Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) ends its current program year on September 30. To get assistance for the new program year, everyone must turn in a new application.

- Elderly and disabled households can apply starting October 1, 2025.

- All other households can apply starting November 1, 2025.

You must reapply to receive heating and cooling assistance through the winter and next summer.

Reminder: CAPNEMO cannot take any applications for the new program year before October 1, 2025.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will not be holding an event this year. We will meet in the spring to re-evaluate and determine if we will hold an event in 2026. Thank you for your understanding.

If you are cold and need to warm up, the Salvation Army church and Adair County Public Library are warming centers in Kirksville. Check the map in the post below for other towns and areas.

As we look ahead to the extreme cold that's on the way and potential power outages, remember the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has a site listing warming centers across the state. As indicated on the site, check with any location before heading there to learn about current requirements. Facilities listed could be closed if their administration closes during normal business operations due to weather conditions.

We would like to thank everyone that contributed to our fundraiser last night. We had some very giving and kind people attend, and we can’t begin to say thank you enough for all that Kirksville Moose Lodge #1751 has done for us. Thank you all for everything! ❤️
