With Summer now here, just a reminder of the Library's Unattended Children Policy. We strive to provide a place where everyone is welcome and safe.

"The library cannot be responsible for unattended children. Children under twelve (12) must be accompanied by someone age sixteen (16) or older IF at the library for longer than 30 minutes, or unless attending a program.
If an unattended child is left for longer than 30 minutes, the staff will attempt to call the child’s home, or that of a relative. If no one can be reached, the staff will then call law enforcement. If the library is closing and a minor has not been picked up, the staff will attempt to reach a parent/guardian/relative. If unable to reach someone, staff has the option of waiting with the minor or calling law enforcement. Under no circumstances will a minor be left outside unattended or left in the library with the doors locked."
