This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of LGBTQ2IA+ individuals and communities.
As many LGBTQ2IA+ people, especially transgender and gender-diverse youth, continue to face barriers to safety, belonging, and well-being, Pride month is also a reminder of the work that remains. LGBTQ2IA+ youth are disproportionately impacted by mental health challenges, housing instability, homelessness, and involvement in foster care, often as a result of rejection, discrimination, and systemic inequities.
At Friends of Youth, we believe every young person deserves to be affirmed, supported, and empowered to thrive. We are committed to creating welcoming spaces where youth, young adults, and families can access housing, mental health services, resources, and community.
This month and throughout the year, we stand with LGBTQ2IA+ communities and reaffirm our commitment to dignity, belonging, and opportunity for all.
