—Blizzard conditions possible, especially East of I-25–
I’ll have my own forecast update posted late morning Sunday.
For now, here’s the NWS update:
Blizzard conditions possible. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 7 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.a
IMPACTS...Visibility may be near zero at times resulting in white out conditions. Travel may be treacherous. Widespread blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Prepare for possible blizzard conditions. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.
My messaging: use Sunday to complete all preparations for this storm, especially if you’re in Elbert and El Paso counties, make sure animals are prepared for wind, snow and cold temperatures. Castle rock may also see some impacts from this storm.
As I mentioned, my forecast will be up later Sunday morning, but this information should give you enough to get going on preparations. Until then, stay tuned.
