It is a great honor to share that our Emergency Management Office brought home two prestigious awards from the annual KEMA Conference this past week!
🏆 Mike Loreg and Nicole Perez were recognized with the Outstanding Service Award. The nominator highlighted the incredible work they have done through the Teen CERT Program at South Barber High School. This program has made a tremendous impact and is now also recognized as a college credit course—a first of its kind in Kansas!
🏆 Mike Loreg was also honored with the Instructor of the Year Award for his dedication, leadership, and commitment to educating and preparing others.
In addition to these accomplishments, Mike Loreg proudly serves as the President of the Kansas Emergency Management Association, continuing to demonstrate his dedication and leadership within Emergency Management across the state.
