Update to the Friday Trash Collection:
Friday Collection is being delayed until Monday.
The need to clear snow has made this necessary.
We appreciate your understanding.

Due to yesterday's snow, today's trash pickup will be delayed. There is no time estimate.
The city crew will be removing snow from some routes.

At 5pm therer will be a short interruption to the electricity as we switch from the generators back to our regular power supply.

The city generators are warmed up. John is currantly making a repair to a fuse link. When that is completed the city will switch to the generators.

October 4th - 10th North of Main St.
October 11th - 17th South of Main St.

Items can be left on curb beginning the Friday before the following Thursday Morning Pickup.

This is due to the Barber County Landfill being closed for the Peace Treaty activities.

Announcement:
This coming Monday, August 26th, at 6 am, there will be a brief power outage while we switch over to the generators.
At 6 pm there will be another brief outage as we switch back from the generators.
This is for required testing.

Recently someone has dumped building materials at the city burn site. Those belong at the county landfill.
Acceptable items are tree limbs, brush, grass clippings and leaves per our license for the site with the State of Kansas.
