The purpose of this page is to present matters of public interest in the City of Kinston. We encourage you to submit your questions, comments, and concerns; however, please note this is a moderated page and is not intended to be a public forum. Any immediate questions or concerns should be directed to the appropriate City department or representative. Additionally, the a
bility to publicly comment may be disabled on certain posts or categories of posts that are intended to be informational only or under other appropriate circumstances. Once posted, the City of Kinston reserves the right to remove submissions that contain vulgar, profane, or obscene language or material, or comments that target, disparage, or otherwise promote, foster, or perpetrate discrimination against any individual based on race, color, religion, s*x, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, gender identity, s*xual orientation, military or veteran status, political affiliation, status with regard to public assistance, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law. The City of Kinston also reserves the right to remove comments that:
Advocate illegal activity or compromise public safety or security;
Promote or advertise commercial services, products, or political organizations;
Infringe upon copyrights or trademarks;
Contain personally identifiable information of others;
Contain confidential or protected information;
Duplicate posts by the same author (the original post will remain if it complies with this policy). This list is not intended to be all-inclusive. Opinions and comments expressed by members of the public on the City's social media pages do not reflect the opinions or positions of the City of Kinston, its elected officials, officers, or employees. Every comment, post, reply, reaction, direct message, and other interaction on the City's social media accounts is archived as part of the City's official public record. Any comment or content removed for violating this policy is also archived and remains part of the City's official record, even though it is no longer publicly visible on the social media platform.
