🎉 Today we officially wrapped up Summer Reading! 📚
This week, the kids painted their dinosaurs, went on a scavenger hunt, and got some dirt under their fingernails! 🌿👩‍🌾 Thank you Colony Floral for the last minute materials!!!
On Thursday, we were transported into the world of author Jefferson Knapp's book series, “The Kingdom at the End of the Driveway.” He was so much fun to listen to! We even met Farangis, an animatronic version of the 25-foot python featured in his first book. 🐍
By sharing funny photos from his childhood and quick stories about Bigfoot, the true story of the Loch Ness Monster, and other mythical creatures, he showed us how imagination and real-life events are the key inspirations for his writing. We hope your children are inspired to write, draw, and pursue their own artistic dreams! 📖🎨
🏆 Congratulations to all the children who met their reading goals, and a huge thank you to all the grown-ups who helped and encouraged them along the way!
🙌 See you all next Thursday at the pool party! 🏊‍♂️🥽

Over the past two Wednesdays, the Kinsley Library hosted two of our absolute favorite events: Favorite Lady Night and Favorite Man Night! 📚✨
We want to give a huge thank you to all the amazing ladies and gents who helped make wonderful memories with our library kids. These two special nights were packed with laughter, stories, games, and snacks! 🦖🍪
BONUS FUN: Missing the excitement? The library scavenger hunt is still available at the front desk for anyone who'd like to try it! Stop by and test your skills! 🔍

Tomorrow: Jefferson Knapp at the Library!
Jefferson Knapp, a children's author known for his engaging fantasy series The Kingdom at the End of the Driveway, will be visiting Kinsley Library on June 18 at 9:30 a.m. This is our last all-ages program for summer reading and is open to the public.
Knapp grew up in Kansas in the early 1980s. His experiences as a country boy, along with his love of pets and a vivid imagination, have greatly influenced his writing. Children will discover the joy of writing as they learn how he transformed his childhood surroundings into the magical world of his books.
The library has five of Jefferson Knapp’s books available for checkout, allowing young readers to dive into his imaginative stories.

Tonight from 7-8 p.m. is "Bring Your Favorite Man to the Library". Each child, from 3 years-old through completed second grade, are invited to bring their dad, grandpa, uncle, or other male friend to an evening of games, skits and other dino-fun . This annual night at the library is a favorite that your child will not want to miss!

Definition:
The branch of philosophy concerned with the nature of knowledge — how we know things, what counts as knowledge, and what separates belief from truth.
It asks questions like:
What does it mean to truly know something?
Can we ever be certain?
How reliable are perception and memory?
What is the difference between opinion and knowledge?
Origin:
From the Greek:
epistēmē = “knowledge”
logos = “study” or “reason”
So epistemology literally means “the study of knowledge.”
Example sentence:

A classic epistemological problem:
If someone believes something true by pure luck, do they actually know it?
