We just finished one of our favorite annual service projects- Pack the Backpack at Brown’s Park! We partnered with Food For Preston and packed over 600 bags of food for hungry Preston County kids this summer. Thank you to everyone who helped, including family and a couple members from the Rotary Club of Grafton. ❤️ ⚙️

Our latest meeting was a good one, with Kingwood Mayor-Elect Karen Snyder Kurilko talking about her upcoming term.

We also got an update about our three Preston High School senior scholarship winners- Bella Miller won the $1,000 John Negly Scholarship, Garrett Haymond was awarded the $1,000 Jack Crogan Scholarship, and Wyatt Moyer with the $1,000 Charles Brown Scholarship.

We discussed some upcoming service projects- including our summer Pack the Backpack project when we will help Food For Preston pack hundreds of bags of food for Preston County kids who need it this summer.

This was Samuel Hess’s last meeting as president before a new Rotary year starts in July. We want to recognize what a great job he did leading our club this past year. Thank you Sam!

We also had a very special guest in attendance- little Jared who we are hoping will become a Rotarian in about 18 years!
