West Virginia Governor Jim Justice along with the Preston County Commission has declared Juneteenth 2023 a full-day holiday.
The Preston County Courthouse and Courthouse Annex will be close in observance of Juneteenth on Monday, June 19, 2023.
Also, the Courthouse and Courthouse Annex will be closed in observance of West Virginia Day on Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

The Preston County Assessor’s Office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Real Estate Clerk/GIS Mapping.

Duties: Real estate data entry; deed evaluation and research; GIS mapping- update and maintenance of county tax maps.

Qualifications:
• Windows 10 or above
• Microsoft Office Programs
• Data Entry Programs
• General Real Estate Knowledge

*Experience in Deed and Survey Evaluation, ESRI, ArcView, or other GIS knowledge is advantageous, but not required.

Salary: Based on education and experience. $28,000-$30,000

FULL-TIME POSITION
MAINTENANCE WORKER

The Preston County Commission is seeking a dedicated individual with maintenance, janitorial, lawn & garden maintenance, wiring and plumbing, as well as the ability to perform snow-removal duties, to be a maintenance worker. This is full-time, on-call, hands-on position with full benefits. Salary will be determined by qualifications.
