Save the Farm aka the White House

Save the Farm aka the White House Save the Farm aka the White House from possible demolition. We need continued support so grants can continue to be written and repairs can be made.

Our hope is that once the repairs are made this house will again be open to the public for events.

Formerly owned by the United Reformed Church, the property at 99 Horseshoe Bend Road in Frenchtown NJ, known affectionately as "The Farm," was sold to Kingwood Township. While the land was preserved for public use, the house itself may be in danger of demolition. Kingwood Township received a couple grants for repairs, but without public support of the project, the work may not continue to be approved. The land has been approved by the Historic Preservation Society due to an influential journalist who resided here during WWII named Lindsay William White. In order for the house to be open for public use, more grants and support are needed! This is where you come in. Here are ways to express your support:

1. Comment, "Like" and share this page. Express your affection for The Farm.
2. Write a letter of support to: Historic Preservation Office, 501 East State Street, P.O. Box 420, Mail Code 501-04B, Trenton, NJ. 08625-0420. Please make sure it refers to the Lindsay William White House project.
