Before it answers its first emergency call, our A Shift has been hard at work stocking equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring every detail is in place. Their dedication behind the scenes helps ensure we’re always ready to provide the highest level of emergency medical care when our community needs us most.

Before the unit begins its service, it also received a special blessing.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Father Bob for blessing the Kingsville Fire Department’s new medic unit and those who will serve aboard it. We pray this unit provides safe transport, skilled care, and hope to those in need, and we ask for continued prayers for our paramedics, EMTs, and firefighters—that they may be protected as they protect others. ❤️🤍🖤🚑🚨

Today, the Kingsville Fire Department spent time educating our youth about what firefighters do and the important role they play in keeping our community safe. From fire safety and emergency response to the equipment they use every day, the kids had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the dedication and service of our local firefighters. 🦸🏽‍♂️🔥🚒

🔥🔥 On Sunday, June 21st, at approximately 11:30 PM, Kingsville Fire Department crews responded to a fully involved structure fire in the 600 block of W. Ella Avenue.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire conditions. Kingsville Police Department officers on scene confirmed that two occupants had safely exited the residence prior to firefighters’ arrival.

Due to extensive roof collapse and unsafe interior conditions, crews were unable to conduct an interior fire attack. Firefighters transitioned to defensive operations to safely contain and extinguish the blaze.

With assistance from the Naval Air Station Kingsville Fire
& Kingsville Police Department crews successfully brought the fire under control and prevented further spread.

Fire is currently under investigation.

THURSDAY, JUNE 4th - TXDOT will close E King Ave at the intersection of King Ave and 14th Street to replace the traffic light at the intersection. Both lanes of eastbound King Ave will be closed, as well as the turn lane from North 14th Street east, and the right-hand lane on 14th Street heading north.
