We want to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated to our donation drive for The Purple Door including J. Dean Craig, Oscar Fuentes, Maureen Zumwalt, Winsteads’ Funeral Home, and so many generous Kingsville citizens who helped make this possible.

A special thank you to the Texas State Aquarium for donating the tickets for our giveaway! 🐠💙

And this isn’t even all of the donations we received! All of these donations will stay right here in our community and help support local individuals and families through The Purple Door.

Welcome to the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce, Iris Photography!

Owner Iris has been passionate about photography for more than 20 years, and it all began with her three boys, who are now grown. What started as simply wanting to document their milestones and share those memories back in the MySpace days quickly sparked the interest of others and quickly grew into a photography business.

The name Iris Photography is especially fitting. Not only is it her name, but the iris is also an important part of both the human eye and the camera, controlling the amount of light that enters. For a photographer who is always chasing that perfect light, the connection couldn’t be more meaningful.

Iris photographs a little bit of everything, but two of her favorite subjects are pets and seniors, and not necessarily the kind of “senior” you may be thinking of!

As Iris explains, “I have a special appreciation for photographing our seasoned adults. There is something incredibly beautiful about a life well lived. Every smile line and every silver strand tells a story, and I love having the opportunity to capture that story through my lens.”

Many in our community may also recognize Iris through her work with the The Kingsville Record, where she serves as Director of Circulation and lead photographer. Her work takes her throughout the community covering sports, breaking news, community events, ribbon cuttings, celebrations and the everyday moments that make our area special.

For Iris, photography is about much more than simply taking a beautiful picture. It’s about preserving memories, personalities, connections and pieces of someone’s story that can be treasured for years to come.

We’re so glad to have Iris Photography as part of the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce.

Welcome to the chamber Sweet Moments !

Sweet Moments officially opened its doors yesterday at 402 E. Kleberg Ave., bringing a beautiful new shopping option to downtown Kingsville.

Owned by local entrepreneur Deborah Lynn Boyce, Sweet Moments was created as a place where customers can shop for dresses and attire for some of life’s biggest occasions. The boutique offers options for homecoming, prom, weddings, quinceañeras and other special events, along with tuxedo rentals.

Deborah has continued to invest in Kingsville through her growing businesses, and Sweet Moments is another exciting addition to our downtown business community.

We’re happy to have Sweet Moments as part of the Chamber and look forward to watching them grow.

25 years ago today, September 11, 2001, our country changed forever.

Today we remember those who lost their lives, the families who still carry that loss, and the first responders, service members, and ordinary people who stepped up in extraordinary ways.

Here in Kingsville, our community is invited to come together this morning at Texas A&M University-Kingsville at 9:00 AM to remember, reflect, and honor those we lost.

We will never forget.
