At WCEMS, we believe continuing education makes stronger providers and a stronger community.

One of our dedicated EMTs, Nadia Bartell, recently earned Deanโ€™s List recognition for Winter 2026 while balancing the demanding life of EMS โ€” long 24-48 hour shifts, sleepless nights, and the everyday challenges that come with serving others.

Her achievement proves that WCEMS is committed to growth, professionalism, and higher education. We are more than just the โ€œboo-boo bus.โ€ We are healthcare professionals dedicated to improving patient care both inside and outside the ambulance.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), she brings valuable skills to the field every day. Her education helps her better communicate with patients in crisis, de-escalate stressful situations, recognize behavioral and mental health concerns, and provide compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

From behavioral emergencies to helping calm frightened family members during difficult moments, her knowledge strengthens the level of care WCEMS provides to our community.

Please join us in congratulating her on this outstanding accomplishment. Your WCEMS family is proud of you!

๐Ÿš‘ Here we Grow Again ๐Ÿš‘

Please welcome Chloe Dubose and Ashley Atkinson.

Chloe Dubose, EMT-Basic, is a dedicated professional who truly loves her work and is passionate about helping others in need. Providing care comes naturally to Chloe, and her commitment shows in everything she does. Now a valued member of Williamsburg EMS, we couldnโ€™t be happier with the positive energy and enthusiasm she brings to the team.

Ashleigh Atkinson, EMT-Basic, joined our team after working with a private transport company that was also contracted with an EMS service. During her time there, she served as a Field Training Officer (FTO) and built a reputation as a dedicated and hardworking professional. Now a member of the Williamsburg team, Ashleigh is focused on continuing to grow and advance her career in emergency medical services.
