All grass clippings and leaves should be bagged for pick up (not to exceed 50 pounds). Please do not blow grass clippings, leaves, and other debris into roadways because it is illegal and can create hazardous conditions for pedestrians and vehicles. If you have limbs, underbrush, or bagged leaves ready for disposal, please call the Town at 843.355.8186 for pick up service.

Rags, wet wipes, and fibrous materials, do not decompose in water and will cause severe sewer clogs leading to sewage backups into homes and high repair costs. Please place these items in the trash. Please call the Town to report sewer issues during business hours or the nonemergency number (843.354.0606) after 5pm. The Town is ONLY responsible for the main sewer line in the street due to liability issues.

****FUEL SPILL HWY 52 NORTHBOUND****

A PORTION OF HWY 52 BRIDGE IS TEMPORARILY REDUCED TO ONE NORTHBOUND LANE DUE TO A FUEL SPLL FROM AN 18-WHEELER. PATIENTS NEEDING TO REACH MUSC HEALTH PRIMARY CARE WILL BE GUIDED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT TO THEIR DESTINATION. THE KINGSTREE PUBLIC SAFETY TEAM IS ON SCENE AND AWAITING STATE CLEANUP CREWS. PLEASE USE CAUTION IN THE AREA. THE DURATION OF THIS CLOSURE IS CURRENTLY UNKNOWN, BUT WE WILL NOTIFY YOU AS SOON AS IT IS SAFE AND THE ADDITIONAL LANE CAN REOPEN.
