DEATH IN CUSTODY

Williamsburg County Coroner, Ivori L. Henryhand, has identified the inmate that died at MUSC Health Black River Medical Center on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as that of Phillip Lemmon, Jr., 49, of Kingstree. Mr. Lemmon was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

An autopsy will be performed on Friday, August 22, 2025, to determine the cause and manner of death.

SLED is investigating the death.

Williamsburg County Coroner Ivori L. Henryhand has identified the victim of a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, on Christopher Road in Kingstree, as Kenneth Nesmith, 39, of Kingstree, South Carolina.

An autopsy will be performed on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at MUSC in Charleston, SC.

Williamsburg County Coroner Ivori L. Henryhand has identified the victim of a shooting that occurred on Monday, July 7, 2025, near Gardner Court Apartments in Kingstree, as Tevon Goodman, 30, of Kingstree, South Carolina.

An autopsy will be performed on Monday, July 14, 2025 at MUSC in Charleston, SC.

Williamsburg County Coroner Ivori L. Henryhand has identified the victims of a shooting that occurred on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Kings Crossing Apartment Complex, as Mycheal Edwards-Wallace, 18, of Kingstree, South Carolina and Edwin Cooper, 16, of Kingstree, South Carolina.

An autopsy will be performed on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
