Coaches Get Slimed for a Great Cause! 💚

John F. Kennedy Elementary School celebrated the success of this year's Kids Heart Challenge yesterday with a fun twist - Mrs. Miller and Ms. Heppner's class signed up the most students as Heart Heroes during February's Kids Heart Challenge, earning their students the chance to slime Coach Ballou and Coach Coppey!

Congratulations to every JFK student who took part in this year's challenge. Your dedication to raising funds and awareness for heart health makes our school proud!

🐾 Young Researchers Shine at Graves! 🐾

Students in Jill Ford's Grade 1 class at Robert Graves Elementary School wowed their families last week with a presentation of their very own animal reports!

Each student researched an animal of their choice, wrote a multi-page report, and created their very own hand-drawn illustration to go along with it. From writing to drawing to presenting in front of an audience, these incredible first graders did it all!
We are so proud of the hard work and creativity this class put into their projects.

Grade 4 students from John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Chambers Elementary School and E.R. Crosby Elementary School recently took an exciting step toward their future with an official visit to M. Clifford Miller Middle School, where they will begin their middle school journey this September.

During their visit, students had the opportunity to meet school staff, learn what a typical school day will look like, tour the building, and get a firsthand look at important middle school features such as lockers. They also learned about the expectations and responsibilities that come with being middle school students.

The visit was designed to help ease the transition to middle school by introducing students to their new school environment and giving them a glimpse of the exciting opportunities that await them at Miller. Students will have additional opportunities to become acquainted with their new school during summer orientation in August.

We look forward to welcoming these future middle schoolers in the fall!

🚧 Hard hats on! 🚧

Grade 2 students in Dana Fitzgerald's class at Robert Graves Elementary School had an amazing Construction Day! Students dressed up as construction workers and got hands-on experience with real tools like measuring tapes, wrenches, PVC pipes, LEGOs, and building blocks. Students rotated through different centers where they practiced important measurement skills and used math to calculate real construction problems. What a fun way to make learning come alive - these kids are ready to build the future! 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️
