🎉🙌 WANT TO KNOW A SECRET? THE VOLUNTEERS HAVE JUST AS MUCH FUN AS EVERYONE ELSE! 🙌🎉

We talk a lot about our events…but what you might NOT see in the pictures is how much fun happens behind the scenes! 😂❤️

The Kingston DDA is looking for volunteers to join us, and we promise—volunteering with us is NOT about standing around with a clipboard looking serious.

Around here, you might find yourself…

🎃 Helping transform Kingston for Trunk-or-Treat
🌶️ Smelling chili all afternoon and trying not to get hungry
🎄 Getting everything ready for Christmas magic
🎅 Helping with the parade and Winter Festival
🌱 Welcoming vendors to our NEW 2027 Farmers Market
☘️ Getting Kingston ready to go GREEN for St. Patrick’s Day
🎨 Decorating, hanging signs and making things look fabulous
📸 Taking pictures and capturing great community moments
👋 Greeting visitors and helping people find their way
🎟️ Helping with contests, activities and giveaways
🚗 Directing vendors and helping with setup
💪 Pitching in for breakdown when the party is over
😂 Laughing—a LOT
❤️ And getting to know some pretty wonderful people along the way!

You don't have to volunteer for everything.

Have two hours? We can use you.

Love decorating but don't want to work the event? Come decorate!

Early bird who loves setup? We need you!

We’re counting down to a great morning of community, movement, and making a difference!

On Saturday, November 7th, our friends at RoofMen are bringing a Community 5K & 1-Mile Walk to Kingston — and YOU are invited! 🙌

The best part? Every step helps support youth in foster care through Waymark. 💙

September 11 — We Remember

Today, the Kingston Downtown Development Authority joins our community and our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honoring the courage of the first responders and everyday citizens who stepped forward, and holding close the families whose lives were forever changed.

We also remember the remarkable spirit of unity, compassion, and service that emerged in the days that followed.

Today, we encourage our Kingston community to honor that spirit in a simple way — support a neighbor, thank a first responder, perform an act of kindness, or find a way to serve our community. ❤️

May we continue building a Kingston where we look out for one another, lend a hand when it is needed, and remember the strength found in community.

We remember. We honor. We serve. We will never forget.
