Throwback to when the League won an Emmy… yes, really!

Long before political debates became what they are today, the League of Women Voters was setting the standard.

In 1976, the League sponsored the first nationally televised presidential debates since 1960—and its work earned an Emmy Award.

Nonpartisan. Voter-focused. Award-winning.

For more than a century, the League has worked to help voters hear directly from candidates and make informed decisions at the ballot box.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in our democracy.

During Disability Voting Rights Week, September 14–18, we're highlighting accessible voting and reminding voters that help and accessible voting options are available.

Learn about your options before Election Day.

Voters using the accessible ballot system in need of printing services in order to print their ballot can access such services at certain public printing resources, including but not limited to, libraries, print stores, shipping stores, and office supply stores. Voters should contact their local printing resources for details on the printing services offered.

In-person voting using an accessible Ballot Marking Device (“BMD”) during early voting or on Election Day is still available to voters with a disability who do not want to vote using the accessible ballot system.
