🫸Parents... do you know as much as teens about va**ng?

👂We want to hear teens teach adults something that they DON'T already know about youth va**ng in a short video for social media. It's time for kids to become the teacher and school the adults.

Participants can submit a video using the link in bio by November 13, 2026.

🚲Videos chosen for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive a mountain bike! All submissions will receive a small reward. Exact prize to be announced at a later date.

We had a great time at Midtown Make a Difference Day in Kingston! Our Public Health Education Assistant, Jackie Saldana, and the team connected with neighbors about asthma triggers — like dust, pests, and smoke — and how you can keep an eye on local air quality with our Ulster County air quality monitors.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, spun the wheel, and asked great questions — and to Family of Woodstock Inc, City of Kingston, and Radio Kingston for 20 years of bringing Midtown together. 🎉

At DOH, we're excited to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 36th Anniversary this Sunday, July 26th! The ADA works to ensure all people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else, which reflects the goals of our Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) program.

Through CYSHCN, we link families to community-based agencies and service providers that can help address qualifying chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions for children birth to 21 years old.

Cyclospora cases are rising across the U.S. — including here in New York. This tiny parasite spreads through contaminated fresh produce and can cause diarrhea, cramps, fatigue, and appetite loss lasting weeks if untreated.

How to Protect Yourself:
- Wash all fresh produce under running water
- Wash hands, cutting boards & utensils before and after food prep
- Stay away from bagged produce
- Remove outer leaves of produce
- When in doubt, cook it — heat kills the parasite
