The Rock of Kingsley Youth Center

The Rock of Kingsley Youth Center Dedicated to inspiring change by empowering people with the resources and support they need to live. The ROCK is the place to be if you’re in 6th-12th grades.

The ROCK is a 501c3 non-profit corporation funded by caring individuals, local, businesses, foundations, grants, fundraising and is staffed by dedicated volunteers. The Youth Center first opened its doors in January 2010 and currently has over 300 registered members. Programs include educational workshops, excursions, drop-in recreation, arts and crafts, community service, dances, game tournaments

, concerts as well as lots of other great special events. Open school days 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Feel free to stop by and visit our award winning facility, meet the volunteer staff and check out our program offerings.

Book Club winners were celebrated and then...drum roll, please....🥁

A huge thank you to Melinda Schaub for providing the delicious pre baked cakes, yummy frosting, and an incredible assortment of decorations and sprinkles. Our kids had so much fun getting creative and making their cakes uniquely their own. We appreciate your generosity and support more than you know. After a year of reading our Reading Royalty has been selected! Levi read the most books of everyone at the Rock and is the King of Reading at the Rock.

A HUGE thank you to The Village Cafe & Ice Cream Shop for not only donating prizes for parts of our reading challenge but for approaching us with the idea in the first place.

If you stacked all the books everyone read on top of each other this year it would be taller than the water tower! Isn't that amazing?

🟣FRIENDLY REMINDER!🟣

The Rock Youth Center will be CLOSED on Monday, June 1, 2026 as our staff attends an After Glow celebration connecting with fellow nonprofits, donors, and community supporters.

We will reopen on Tuesday, June 2, for our regular after-school program hours from 3:30-6:00pm.

As the weather warms up, we want to remind families and students about our dress code expectations at The Rock. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves while still being mindful of the community around them.

Students are encouraged to express their personal style, but clothing should still provide appropriate coverage for a youth-centered environment. Extremely short shorts, excessive midriff exposure, visible underwear or boxer shorts, cut-off shirts with excessive exposure, and clothing that may distract from programs or activities may result in a conversation with staff.

We appreciate everyone helping us maintain a positive, respectful, and welcoming space for all students this summer!

📢 Incoming 6th Grade Families — Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026–2027 School Year at the Rock Youth Center!

For the first time ever, we are allowing early registration due to planned maintenance to our registration system this summer.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
The registration page currently says “2025–2026 School Year.” This is incorrect and will be updated during summer system maintenance. Families registering now are registering for the 2026–2027 school year.

Our current members do not need to re-register.

✅ Current 5th graders may register now
✅ Registration deadline is June 30
✅ Required for Summer Programming (July 7–August 13) and/or the 2026–2027 school year

Incoming 6th graders may begin attending after the current school year officially ends.

Students who are not registered by June 30 may not be able to attend again until registration reopens later for the 2026–2027 school year.
