FLIVVERS... YOU DIDN’T JUST MEET THE GOAL. YOU **CRUSHED IT!!!** πŸ€―πŸŽ‰

We started this week with a simple goal: raise **$500** to support the Lake Antoine 21 Days to Play community playground project.

We thought we would see what our kids could do.

And our kids showed us what happens when Flivvers get behind something that matters. πŸ’™πŸ’›

We raised the goal to $1,500.
Then $3,000.
Then $5,000.

AND OUR FLIVVERS KEPT GOING!!!

πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ **KMS RAISED AN INCREDIBLE $8,000!!!** πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

That’s right. EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS to help bring a community playground to life! πŸ›

And now, the moment we have all been waiting for...

πŸ† **YOUR FLIVVERS PLAY IT FORWARD GRAND CHAMPIONS ARE...**

πŸ’™πŸ’› **SIXTH GRADE!!!** πŸ’™πŸ’›

Here are the FINAL GRADE TOTALS:

πŸ₯‡ **6th Grade: $3,140.02** πŸ‘‘
πŸ₯ˆ **7th Grade: $2,340.30**
πŸ₯‰ **8th Grade: $1,593.23**
πŸ… **5th Grade: $930.01**

And today alone, our students brought in thousands more dollars to help finish this challenge strong!

πŸ”₯ **TODAY’S TOTALS:**
πŸ’™ 5th Grade: $331.95
πŸ’› 6th Grade: $1,876.65
πŸ’™ 7th Grade: $1,077.14
πŸ’› 8th Grade: $831.02

Sixth graders, you brought the FLIVVER POWER today and secured that championship! πŸ†πŸ™Œ We cannot wait to celebrate with you at your KMS Park Play Date, complete with pizza from Lake Antoine and Dilly Bars from KMS Admin! πŸ•πŸ¦

But Flivvers, here is what makes us MOST proud.

This was never just about winning a competition or raising money. It was about teaching our kids that being part of a community means looking beyond ourselves, recognizing a need, and asking, **β€œWhat can I do to help?”**

And you answered that question in a BIG way.

You brought in your spare change. You rallied your classmates. You got excited about the daily totals. You inspired others to get involved. You even caught the attention of TV6, who came to capture the incredible energy happening at KMS!

Our little school challenge has grown into something so much bigger than we imagined. **Our students have helped raise awareness, inspired others to support Lake Antoine, and shown what is possible when a community comes together.**

To our students, our families, our staff, our Student Council members and advisors, and everyone who helped make this challenge such a success: THANK YOU! πŸ’™πŸ’›

And to Lake Antoine, thank you for giving our students an opportunity to be part of something that will bring joy to kids and families in our community for years to come.

Flivvers, you showed us that when our community needs us, **WE SHOW UP.**

You showed us that small contributions can make a BIG difference.

You showed us the grit, generosity, and pride that make our Flivver community so special.

**WE STARTED WITH $500. WE FINISHED WITH $8,000. AND WE DID IT TOGETHER.**

That’s what it means to be a Flivver.

πŸ’™πŸ’› **FLIVVERS PLAY IT FORWARD. ALWAYS.** πŸ’›πŸ’™

Big learning for our littlest Flivvers! πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’›

Mrs. Aranda’s kindergarten students at Woodland Elementary have been exploring patterns during Number Corner and math lessons. They put those skills to work at centers, creating snake patterns and using Q-tips, dabbers, and Unifix cubes to make patterns of their own!

A fun, hands-on way to build early math skills, one pattern at a time! πŸ“˜πŸ“’πŸ“˜πŸ“’

Throwbook Thursday Reveal! πŸ’™πŸ“šπŸ’›

It's time for this week's answer!

Today's photos came from the 1954-1955 Kingsfordian! πŸŽ‰

We're traveling back more than 70 years to a time when these Flivvers were filling the classrooms, performing with the orchestra, competing on the basketball court, participating in National Honor and Debate, and representing KHS as cheerleaders and majorettes.

But this week's yearbook came with an extra surprise.

Tucked inside was an original clipping from May 21, 1955, featuring the 1955 Graduating Class of Kingsford Senior High School. The newspaper reported that 100 seniors would receive their diplomas during commencement exercises on June 8.

We've included the clipping with tonight's reveal. Take a close look, you may find a familiar family name or face among those 100 graduates!

More than seven decades later, it's pretty special to open this yearbook and find a piece of Kingsford history still tucked between its pages.

Do you recognize anyone? Tag family members or friends who might enjoy seeing this and share any memories or stories you have from the Class of 1955!
