On 05/06/2026 The Kingman County Sheriff's Office was awarded a Bronze Unit Citation by the Kansas Association of Chiefs Of Police for it's participation on the Property Crimes Reduction Task Force (PCRT).

The PCRT is a collaborated effort between 17 different agencies located in the south central region of Kansas surrounding Wichita. This task force focuses real time intelligence gathering and sharing along with sharing technology, tactics and personnel to target criminals and criminal organizations engaged in property crimes. These crimes range from auto thefts and burglaries to shoplifting and selling stolen property. In the first year of operation, the PCRT was able to recover over $7.5 Million in property and make over 600 arrests!

The Kingman County Sheriff's Office is honored to receive this reward and is dedicated to doing our very best to hold accountable those that would victimize our citizens.
