Kingfisher County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Response Team - MCART

Kingfisher County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Response Team - MCART Kingfisher County Multidisciplinary Child Abuse Response Team Oklahoma legislation calls for the establishment of an MCART team in every county.

This team is a group of professionals consisting of law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical, counseling and other related fields that promote coordination and teamwork needed to ensure a timely and appropriate response to child abuse and neglect investigations. The team provides a system of checks and balances when conducting monthly formalized abuse and neglect case revie

ws. We work to minimize the number of interviews necessary for a child victim of sexual abuse, physical abuse, or neglect and ensure that children are not further traumatized during the process of the investigation. In addition to making sure that we are not duplicating efforts, we work to ensure that child victims do not “fall through the cracks” and that they receive the benefit of all resources available to help them recover.
