The Police Department was just notified by Union Pacific RR that they will be closing the Bowman Avenue crossing for more repairs. Estimated time to re-open is 11am.

The Kingfisher Police Department has received reports today of victims receiving phone calls from "law enforcement" notifying them they have active warrants and requesting payment in leu of arrest. Please be aware this is a scam as LE will not ask for payment over the phone or online. If you have questions due to these phone calls please contact you local Police Department or Sheriffs Office.

The Kingfisher Police Department would like to give a big THANK YOU out to everyone who donated to the Holidays with Heroes program and all the individuals who helped make this event possible. Thank you to the Kingfisher Community Collaborative, the Kingfisher Fire Department, and the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Department for joining us this year to reach even more kids. Thank you to Cadalacks Collision Center, Millennium Roofing, and Simply Adorabell for donating the winter coats, hats, and gloves for each child and every family member in their household. Also, Thank you to Janice Russell for making each kid a quilt. Those looked super cool. This event is huge for us and we love to be able to do this each year. Thank you to Russell Stitt for the photos and video and to All about Kingfisher for the media coverage of the event. And most of all thank you to the kids that allowed us to spend time with them in a joyful setting which is not normal for us in our line of work.
