King of Prussia to Mark the 25th Anniversary
of 9/11 with a Day of Remembrance

Community, first responders, and elected officials will gather at the King of Prussia 9/11 Memorial to honor those lost and preserve their memory for future generations.

Remembering Is a Responsibility

The 25th anniversary observance is intended to be more than a commemoration of the past. It is also an opportunity to consider what it means to carry the memory of September 11 into the future.

“Twenty-five years changes a lot,” said Vincent DiSanto, Chairman of the King of Prussia 9/11 Memorial Committee. “But it doesn’t change the importance of remembering the people who were lost, honoring those who responded, and making sure future generations understand why we must never forget. This memorial is our community’s commitment to carrying that memory forward.”

The King of Prussia 9/11 Memorial stands as a lasting reminder that even in the face of tragedy, a community can come together to honor lives, recognize sacrifice, and create something intended to endure.

On September 11, 2026, the community will once again gather — to speak the names, honor the fallen, recognize those who served, and remember.

Earlier this week, officers of our department traveled to Life Line Emergency Vehicles in Summer, Iowa to complete the final inspection of our two new ambulances. These ambulances were purchased through 10-8 Emergency Vehicle Services, and we are excited to bring them to our community.

Over the next several weeks, we will take delivery of both units and begin the important work of stocking them with equipment, completing the licensing process, and preparing them for service. We look forward to placing these new ambulances in service to continue providing the highest level of emergency medical care to the residents and visitors of Upper Merion Township.
