Teamwork makes the dream work in Mrs. Lyle’s class! 🐛 Lifesaver on, gummy worm saved, and zero hands used!

Our awesome students took on the classic **"Save Fred" Challenge** today. Working in their table groups, they had to rescue Fred (the gummy worm) after his boat (a plastic cup) capsized, put on his life preserver (a gummy lifesaver), and safely land him back in the boat—using *only* four paper clips! 📎

It took patience, creative problem-solving, and a whole lot of communication.

Mrs. Jones' 5th Grade Science class used the scientific method to investigate how the independent variable of fresh, brackish, or salt water would alter the height, width, and color of gummy bears over a 24-hour period. Ask one of these scientists for the results!

Students in Mrs. Cooksey’s class have been learning all about the different regions of Virginia and their unique geography. During this lesson, they got hands-on with a little Play-Doh fun!

Students created models showing the topography of each of Virginia’s regions, bringing their learning to life in a creative and engaging way. We loved getting to see Virginia’s geography take shape!
