King William Social Services Office Renovation 8/12 thru 8/18….

King William Department of Social Services will be undergoing carpet renovations from August 12–18. During this time, we will have limited staff available in the office, primarily to assist with EBT issuance and other essential in-person needs while installation is ongoing.

Most KWDSS staff will be working virtually and will continue processing cases and assisting customers without interruption.

With high temperatures impacting King William County over the next several days, the county, in conjunction with the King William County Library System and King William Social Services, will be opening cooling stations to help residents stay safe, cool, and connected. Whether you need to escape the heat, charge your devices, or grab a cold bottle of water, these locations are open to all community members.

- THURSDAY 7/2: Both libraries will be open from 10am-8pm.
- FRIDAY 7/3 and SATURDAY 7/4: The Department of Social Services lobby will be open from 10am-2pm.

Please take this opportunity to check in on your friends, family, and neighbors as extreme heat approaches the area.

King William Social Services will be closed for business in observance of Independence Day on Friday 7/3/26. However, the lobby will be open as a Cooling Station on both Friday 7/3/26 and Saturday 7/4/26 from 10am to 2pm.
