Kinde Area Fire Department Kinde Area Fire Dept. is a paid-per-call dept. We cover Dwight, Meade and Lincoln townships and the KAFD SERVICES DWIGHT, LINCOLN, AND MEADE TOWNSHIPS.

KAFD PROUDLY PROTECTS AN AREA OF 108 SQUARE MILES WITH A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 2600. KAFD OPERATES OUT OF ONE STATION THAT PROTECTS A PRIMARILY RURAL AREA. KAFD IS A PUBLIC DEPARTMENT AND OUR FIREFIGHTERS ARE ON A PAID-ON-CALL STATUS. KAFD PROVIDES AND RECEIVES MUTUAL AID TO AND FROM THE PORT AUSTIN, BAD AXE, CASEVILLE, PORT HOPE, AND ELKTON- OLIVER FIRE DEPARTMENTS.
