Happy New Year from all of us to all of you!
Announcement: the Kinross EMS page will be deactivated soon.

2025 will be the final year of service for Kinross EMS! We celebrate with all of you! We are thankful for the dedication and hard work of Kinross Charter Township and its EMS employees/volunteers for almost 50 years of providing EMS response, treatment, and transport to the residents and visitors of Chippewa County!

2026 we welcome Northern EMS Authority (NEMSA)! We are grateful for this collaboration and we wish only success for the participating Townships! Follow Northern EMS Authority on Facebook!

Kinross Emergency Medical Service

Kinross EMS is seeking highly motivated, qualified individuals to fill full time and part time Paramedic and part time EMT positions. Located in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, KEMS serves an area of approximately 260 square miles as the primary 911 response for 3 townships which include Kinross Charter Township, Rudyard Township and Dafter Township. We also provide ambulance service for a vehicle Winter Test Center in Raco, Michigan and 3 Michigan State Prisons. We offer ALS intercept service for BLS agencies throughout the region, Inter/Intra facility transfers, Special Pathogens Transport Team, and special event standbys that include football games and Chippewa County Fair grandstand events.

Our pay scale coincides and exceeds with the area cost of living. There are many rental units and homes for sale. There is an abundance of outdoor recreation and opportunity to enjoy the surrounding natural resources throughout all of Michigan’s beautiful seasons. Visit the Soo Locks, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, or Castle Rock. Take a day trip to Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks, or cross the border to Canada. Spend the day on one of our many rivers, lakes, streams or islands. Enjoy a picnic at one of the local parks. Fishing, hunting, Snowmobiling, Skiing, and many other activities are right out your front door.
