OUR PARTNERSHIP IS GROWING 🥛🤍
I have had the amazing opportunity to partner with the Chester County Food Bank since 2022, back when we were processing and bottling our own milk right here on the farm. They partnered with us to purchase milk directly from our farm and help get fresh, local milk into the homes of families throughout Chester County.
Then 2024 happened. When I lost my processing equipment, I was terrified I would lose partnerships like this one too. But instead of walking away, the Chester County Food Bank adjusted WITH me. When I partnered with Maplehofe Dairy, they came right along with us. Together, we found a way to keep doing what mattered most: getting farm-fresh milk into our community.
For the past couple of years, that partnership has continued to provide more than 700 HALF-GALLONS of fresh, local milk every single week. And now, our partnership is growing again. 🥹
Previously, all of that milk was delivered in one large delivery to the Chester County Food Bank warehouse. Starting this week, Herd & Harvest will be personally delivering that milk to their receiving locations separately throughout Chester County.
Today, I made my first deliveries. 🥛 Now we get to be the boots on the ground—driving throughout our community, meeting the people at these locations face-to-face, and getting local milk directly into the places distributing it to families who need it.
For me, farming has never been about only MY farm or making sure MY products make it into people’s homes. Agriculture is bigger than one farm. I want to support farmers. I want to help keep local agriculture strong. And most importantly, I want people in our own communities to have access to fresh, local food.
I am incredibly proud to play a part in representing our local dairy industry and helping get local milk into Chester County homes. This partnership has changed and evolved since 2022—and so have I. But the mission hasn’t changed.
Feed our community. Support our farmers. Keep local food LOCAL. ❤️
Thank you to the Chester County Food Bank for continuing to trust me, and now the Herd & Harvest crew, to be part of this mission. Feeding our community, one glass of milk at a time!
