Labor Day is about the people who show up, work hard, and take pride in what they do. That spirit is alive and well across the Magic Valley, and it’s one of the many reasons I’m proud to call this place home.

Today, we celebrate you. Happy Labor Day!

Knocking doors in Wendell and getting to know more of the great people who call District 24 home. There’s no better way to listen and connect than one conversation at a time.

Working in real estate has given me a front-row seat to a conversation happening around a lot of kitchen tables:
“Can we actually afford to stay here?”

Young families trying to buy their first home feel it. Retirees on fixed incomes feel it. Working families watching housing costs and property taxes rise feel it.

There isn’t one magic government program that fixes affordability.
But we can plan growth responsibly, make it easier to build the housing our communities need, keep an eye on the tax burden, and stop pretending the problem will solve itself.

I want the Magic Valley to remain a place where working people can afford to build a life.

“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton

A simple reminder to keep moving forward, work hard, and never be afraid to create a better path. Remembering an American icon whose words and legacy will live on.

May we all live a little like Dolly and never forget the impact she made.

A campaign takes a lot of work behind the scenes, and I’m so grateful for the volunteers who make it happen!

From stickers on suckers to stuffing bags and getting ready for parades, every little bit helps.

Thank you to everyone who has pitched in.
If you’d like to join us, we’d love to have you!

This month, I visited the Minidoka National Historic Site, an important part of the history of District 24 and our state.

As I serve in Boise, representing all of District 24, I believe it is important to remember the people, places, and experiences that have shaped our communities. Understanding our past, recognizing where we are today, and looking toward the future all matter as we work to serve the district well.

Minidoka is a powerful reminder that our history must be remembered and carried forward.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the ribbon cutting ceremony for the College of Southern Idaho in Jerome.

Strong communities depend on strong educational opportunities. From our public schools to career and technical education, higher education, and programs like Idaho LAUNCH, we should continue creating pathways that help Idaho students gain the skills they need to build successful lives and careers right here at home.

Investing in education and workforce development is an investment in Idaho’s future, and it was exciting to celebrate another step forward for students and families in Jerome and across the Magic Valley.
