We make a difference in the way a child see's our local area law enforcement and emergency service personnel but more importantly help a child have a memorable Christmas experience!! Shop with a Cop is a program started by Shortie Kiefer. She made it a goal of hers to each year take 60 kids out to Shopko with a great shopping spree to buy for themselves or family and friends. All kids are accompan
ied by an officer, deputy, emt, state patrol or firefighter to assist in their shopping. The Kimball Fire Department is so kind to provide everyone breakfast prior to us "shopping until we drop" we then load into the fire trucks, ambulance and police cars and head to Shopko who gives us free reign of the store for a couple hours to let the kids shop till their hearts content. This program has afforded numerous children an opportunity they otherwise may not ever have!!! Please help us make a difference in the Christmas experience for several kids in the Kimball school system!!! We have also expanded our program to help provide each family with a food card to the local grocery store to help families prepare for their holiday meal.
