As we rapidly approach back to school time, we wanted to advise parents that plan to have their children ride with us that we have NEW child rider forms!

We will need everyone to stop by to fill out a new form and this year we are also launching our Customer Portal! 💻 Please ask one of our KCTS team members in the office to lead you through a quick tutorial when you stop in.

Please remember that the child rider forms must be filled out before your child is able to ride with us. We look forward to seeing everyone before August 17th! 🚌

🧨INDEPENDENCE DAY SCHEDULE:

The recent budget cuts from the State make it necessary to be closed during all observed and actual holidays. We understand this is a potential significant inconvenience. However, we have chosen to save the money spent on holiday overtime (approx. $158,000 per year) and use it to continue to provide the much needed daily routes that touch hundreds of riders.

❗️This being said, we are completely closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th. 🇺🇸

☎️ CALL to schedule any rides you may need on July 2nd as soon as possible! This means grocery runs, going to the bank, and any other errands you’d normally run with us! 😁

We will reopen on Sunday, July 5th for our usual weekend schedule. 🚌

The Kimball County Transit Service has announced that the transfer station will close by June 15.

Public Notice

KCTS regrets to inform the public that, due to approximately $1.7 million in budget cuts in 2 years from the State of Nebraska, the KCTS Transfer Station will be closing in the coming weeks. The reduction in state funding has created financial challenges that make it impossible to continue operating the transfer station at this time. This decision was not made lightly and it helps keep as many rides going as possible. We understand this closure will affect many residents who have relied on the facility for convenient way to transfer between vehicles. We are working on safe solutions for parking ,employees and riders and intend to make the majority of transfers at the main building.
