Due to recent flooding our County has sustained damage to several roads and driveways.

If you live on a county maintained road and have damage to your road or driveway on the County Right of Way and would like assistance repairing the damage you can report the damage by calling 228-255-3367 Or by emailing your name, address, phone number, and type of repair needed to [email protected]

The following roads are currently CLEAR and passable:

• Wendell Ladner Rd
• Sophia Dr
• East River Dr
• Cypress
• Varnado Rd (light water present but passable)
• Crane Creek
• Apache Dr
• Shawnee St on the north side of Comanche

The following roads/areas remain CLOSED or NOT PASSABLE:

• Pontiac Dr
• Shawnee St
• Ponotoc Dr and Comanche Dr intersection
• Bayou Lacroix
• Choctaw Dr

Please continue to use caution while traveling and do not drive around barricades or through flooded roadways.

Kapalama Road Striping Update:

Striping work on Kapalama Road is (tentatively) scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2026 and Friday, April 24, 2026, providing no weather delays.

The road will remain open, with some small delays and slow traffic.
