1-395 BEB conducts the Change of Responsibility for outgoing CSM Thomas Christesen. The morning began with an awards presentation to Mrs. Kashia Christesen, honoring her for selfless-service and dedication to the unit. Following the Awards Ceremony the Viper battalion stood proud as they observed the passing of the battalion colors from CSM Christesen to incoming CSM Figueroaroman.

CPT. Jeff Guerra leads "Viper Day" with the "Marshmallow Exercise" a creative team building activity to create the best supportive structure using spaghetti noodles, scotch tape, and 18" of yarn. Following the team building exercise, Battalion Commander LTC Roderick Forman and SFC Logan Thompson present CSM Christesen with his going away gift the Viper Battalion.

1-395th Brigade Engineer Battalion supports the Hillside Medical Lodge in Gatesville, TX during the nursing home’s Valentine’s Day celebration on 14 February 2025; the theme of the event was “Army of Love.” Soldiers from the Viper Battalion interacted with staff and residents by singing songs and sharing refreshments. Members from the Gatesville Boys and Girls Club donated the food and drink, along with chocolates that were distributed to the attendees. Residents were overjoyed to see Soldiers in uniform volunteering their time and compassion on this unique and special day.

Tis the season to be jolly! 1-395 BEB conducts the annual Santa's Ruck March on 15 NOV 2024. Troops and families of 120th Infantry Brigade gathered to deliver toy donation to Santa's Workshop on Fort Cavazos. Following the Ruck March, the battalion held an ugly sweater contest followed by a Ginger Bread eating contest. The 120th Infantry Brigade was able to donate 14 shopping carts of donations with an estimated value of $3,000 which helps support families across Fort Cavazos during the Christmas season.

Salute to those who have served! On 11 November 2024, 1-395 BEB supported the Gatesville High School Veterans Day Breakfast and Ceremony. Twenty-two mobilized troop from North Fort Cavazos attended the morning breakfast sponsored by Gatesville Culinary Arts program and the Gatesville Exchange Club. Following the breakfast was a commemorative ceremony honoring our nation’s past and present heroes who have served our great nation. GISD students read poems and sang songs during the ceremony which was concluded with a speech from Division West Commander MG Ryan.

This month's Viper Day was led by Bravo Team at the Sportsman Center on Fort Cavazos. Beginning the day, troops were able to enjoy breakfast and socialized amongst themselves. Following breakfast, CPT Jeffery Guerra led small group discussions on various OC/T policy and regulations.

The Gatesville community hosted their annual "Boozer", a halloween trunk or treat event that brings kids and families from all over Coryell County. The Viper Battalion participated in the event along with Coryell Health EMS, church groups, along with local restaurants and businesses.

Another great partnership event with Gatesville High School! Over 160 mobilizing Soldiers were able to take a break and enjoy a pre-game meal and the Gatesville Hornets Military Appreciation football game. Viper Soldiers conducted the color guard, transportation support, and welcomed MG Ryan for the opening coin toss.
