For those that didnt vote for me, I am committed to earning your trust and confidence in the years to come. We are all neighbors. This is our county. It's an honor to serve you!
Also..Along with the election, it was a big day for us yesterday as well. Our 4th grandson was born last night!

Over the busy past couple weeks I forgot thank the ones that mean so much to me...my sons, daughter-in-laws, and grandbabys. You made our 4th of July very special for your mom and I. Also.....thanks for the hat Klay!

Watching the election results tonight has been truly humbling.

The support of our county means everything to me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your vote, your faith and your trust to be your sheriff.

To all those special people that went to bat for me during this campaign… I’m so grateful for you!

We have a great team that serves Dunn County and I hope we can keep moving forward in the future.

There are ethics for law enforcement officers. I’ve always run a positive campaign for Sheriff because that’s who I am. I thought a long time about saying anything at all….but the rumors being spread about me by one of my opponents are so beneath the dignity and ethics of a law enforcement professional that I must address them.

#1. My opponent says I’m a part time sheriff and have another job.

The facts: I’ve been on duty every day, all day, and on call 24/7 for the past 3 ½ yrs. If I have another job, please name the company because apparently they owe me a pay check.

#2. My opponent says I have told people I am a military veteran when I’m not.

The facts: I’m not a veteran and never claimed to be. I would never disrespect our military. All my advertisements have clearly stated that I was deployed for five years in Iraq as an International Police Advisor.

#3. My opponent says I charge meals in Dickinson on the Dunn County credit card..

The facts: I haven’t. That would be an open record request and anyone can have this information.

#4. My opponent says I’m not accessible and not a working sheriff.’

The facts: Many people in Dunn County have my personal number. I respond to calls, day or night, however, we are a “department” because we rely on one another. I’m proud of our deputies and don’t micro manage them. I trust their judgement and know they will call if they need me. I work daily at the office, on the road or working with the community. Anyone can talk to me at any time.

People love to believe negative gossip and that’s what this is.

Welcome to our 2022 Election FB page.

This is an important election for the people of Dunn County. It's not just any election.

Our 2nd Amendment rights are being threatened and a county sheriff is a last defense against government over reach.

I am a Constitutional Sheriff, a member of the Constitutional Sheriff and Peace Officers Association. I have and will continue to protect our rights in Dunn County.

There are 1,930 “2nd Amendment Sanctuary Counties” in America.

We Made Sure Dunn County was one of them.

You need a Sheriff who knows the constitution and knows how to use the power of the Sheriff’s office to protect your rights. We already have a plan in place which began when we declared Dunn County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County.

Here Are The Facts:

Our opponents say: “Extremely high employee turnover rate.”

My Response:

“When I was a candidate for Sheriff in 2018, deputies came to our home and said, ”if you get elected and change the way we do things…we'll quit.” I got elected. We changed things. Some deputies quit.

We held people accountable. We required deputies to do their job fairly and impartially. We required deputies to actually come to work and not work from home. We required community involvement. We wanted deputies who worked for the people …not themselves….there is always change under a new administration.

TODAY - We have a well-trained staff of 18 dedicated deputies, 8 of whom are veterans and 2 great office people.
