We have exciting news Kilgore Bulldog family! Please help us welcome Ms. Emily Dean (soon to be Mrs. Clarke) as Kilgore High School’s newest assistant band director and percussion director!

Ms. Dean joins Kilgore after serving as Percussion Director for Longview ISD and teaching percussion students throughout the East Texas and DFW areas during her college career. She earned her Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University after receiving her Associate of Arts from Tyler Junior College. She completed her student teaching at Trinity High School and is a proud alumnus of the Bullard High School Band Program.

Ms. Dean will soon be making Kilgore home with her soon-to-be-husband, Mr. Clarke, and their cat, Boots after they get married next month! Outside of teaching, she enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Help us welcome Ms. Dean to the Bulldog Band Family!! ❤️🐾🥁

Congratulations to the Kilgore High School Symphonic Band on earning first divisions from all six judges at their UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest today! Your growth as individual musicians and an ensemble this year is remarkable and we couldn’t be more proud of you. Help us also wish good luck to the KHS Wind Ensemble as they perform tomorrow afternoon!

Congratulations to the Kilgore Middle School Honors Band on receiving straight 1s at their UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation today. This is the first time this band has earned the prestigious sweepstakes award since 2017. Great job band, we are so proud of you!!
